MOTOACTV Sports ArmBand

You're hardcore. You get up early to get in an hour of workout time. You bike to work. You actually run your errands. Your friends are slightly afraid of you. Meet the device that packs in the same amount of action you do--MOTOACTV is a fitness tracker and smart music player combined into a lightweight, wearable device. It's like having a personal trainer and a DJ joining you on your run or ride. The MOTACTV fuses music and fitness, altering its workout performances with you, so you can focus on fitness, not playlists. The MOTOACTV is available in 8GB or 16GB capacities, and its features include:
  • Precise tracking of your running and biking outside and in the gym
  • A smart music player that learns what songs motivate you
  • GPS tracking of your training position on an uploaded map
  • Sweat-proof, rain resistant, and scratch resistant construction
  • Ability to set goals and start racing against them
  • Audio coach that gives you updates, keeps you motivated
  • Touchscreen display that adjusts to sunlight, intuitive controls
Let me start by saying I have every strap, band, and clip offered by MOTOACTV and this arm band is my favorite and the most functional. I like wearing the device on my arm and this arm band is soft and very comfortable, but even better than that I have no issues with slippage on my runs, plus I can still use my wired earphones and just tuck the extra cord in through my sleeve and under my shirt. I actually wish the watch band they offered were made with the same design and material. running watches with gps

The watch band is nice but this is so much nicer and quicker to get on and off. When undone the band is 17 inches from end to end. My arm where I strap it right above my bicep is 11 inches in circumference. This would fit down to 10 inches but then would no longer be able to hook on.

So if you are small make sure to measure around the area that you plan to wear this to make sure it will fit you. The largest it can go is 16 inches, although it is a little bit stretchy so it might go another 1/2 inch. Overall, this is the accesory that I use the most with my MOTOACTV and I really like it.

Received this watch last week. It is the first GPS Watch that I've owned. I'm just a recreational runner/walker but so far I'm really enjoying the features of this watch and included software. Two problems I ran into, 1. The heart rate monitor would not work and I was finally able to correct the problem by pairing the chest strap with the watch but that was suppose to have been done at the factory. 2.

I couldn't load the computer software onto my computer but I finally was able to get it to load when I closed out my antivirus software. Other than that it was no problem. I'm really enjoying the watch and all the reports and graphs you can compile on the computer. running watches with gps

It is very easy to transfer the info from watch to computer or from computer to the watch. I thought the price was very good for the features you receive and in comparison to other GPS watches with similiar features. I've only used it for a week but so far I'm very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.

S1 Foot Pod

The Polar S1 foot pod should be just as much a part of your training as your running shoes. Accurately measuring your running speed/pace and distance, this essential piece of kit will be with you every step of the way. And even though it attaches to your shoe laces, its so light that youll forget its even there, which means it wont affect your running performance.

I bought this S1 Footpod for use with my Polar FT60, and have had no problems after (3) outdoor runs and (2) indoor runs. running watches with gps

This S1 is technically designed for use where the G1 (gps based footpod) doesn't have satellite connectivity.

On the (3) outdoor runs, this recorded to my Polar FT60 with absolutely no problems. And the distance accuracy was within approximately a quarter block in distance compared to me GPS recorded RunKeeper statistics.

On the (2) indoor runs, this was almost identical to the distance reported by the treadmill I was using.

I've only had one briefly moment that the FT60 prompted me to check my S1 Footpod, and even during that time it was functioning promperly. It is easy to attach to your shoe, and I don't even notice once I start my runs.

I really enjoy the added data, this unit provides me.

Timex Men's T5E231 Ironman 100-Lap Watch

The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Havent been let down so far and this is the 3rd Timex watch I have had. Smart, simple and effective, this watch does plenty and delivers well!

I particularly like the mulitple alarms and dual time zone capability which enables me to keep track of time wherever I might be in the world!

I've had it for only a couple of weeks - bought it at a certain nationwide store that has a crosshair symbol as the emblem - and then accidentally saw this page on Amazon, so I thought I'd review it.

It's very comfortable as another review said. running watches with gps
It looks great. At first, I was a little self conscious about wearing this big thing when I first got it home and tried it on, but come to think of it, it's not that much bigger than my Seiko diver's

I'd highly recommend it. Defintely happy with it, even though I won't be using most of the many features on it.

( But I'd sure like a watch with multiple timers one of these days. Even though I sometimes use the multiple Alarms on this thing, having multiple *timers* is way more useful to me, since I like to have a timer for 40 min for a lot of the things I cook, and another timer always set at 25 min to get the clothes in the washer, and then a couple of other timers always available for whatever comes up)
